Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have been writing, teaching, and entertaining others for most of my life. I presently live and work in the desert southwest.

 

In 2013, I wrote a book for my extended family about our common ancestor Alison Stephen Ray. Alison was a Civil War soldier who met President Abraham Lincoln shortly before his inauguration in 1861. After much painstaking research into the fascinating history of our ancestors, I published the book and it was an instant success. There are copies in libraries across the country, including the Research Library of the Indiana State Archives. You can find that revised and updated book, now entitled Leaving Carolina, on this website, as well as on Amazon and in bookstores worldwide. Retailers and librarians can find my books in the IngramSpark catalog.

Thus began my career as a published Indie author. I have since published several books, most of which are available in both paperback and hardcover, and some in eBook form. You can view (and purchase if you like) all my books on the SHOP page. I will sign every book.
