Frank "Shorty" Harris was an iconic gold prospector that looked like the diminutive cartoon character Yosemite Sam. He worked in the harsh environment of Death Valley, where he both discovered and lost vast fortues of gold. His unbelievable yet true life story paints the picture of a likable fellow that had no enemies except for a weakness for the taste for O' Be Joyful whiskey, and his affinity to the company of the "soiled doves" of the desert southwest.
